The Canadian Press is running a rather unflattering profile of Gordon Campbell '70, who is the Liberal premier (head of the provincial government) of British Columbia.

Just to clarify, Campbell is a member of the BC Liberal Party, but 'Liberal' in this sense is entirely different from liberal in the more widely recognised sense. The federal Liberals are probably the most conservative party in Canada, not including the Tories. In BC, the Liberals are by far the most conservative party, with honourable mention going to the NDP social democrats, the Green Party, the Marijuana Party, the Yoga Bouncers...well, you get the picture.
That's about as accurate as saying the Democrats are probably the most conservative party in the US, not including the Republicans.
